cottage in the city

This project is located in the Old North area in London Ontario - Situated in a private mature residential area, however the design brief called for more privacy and to create the experience that user be immersed in a cottage setting. This was achieved through thoughtful plantings, natural materials and weathered lumber (the clients did not want any new lumber being used). This yard is capped off with a large custom water feature and courtyard walls that match the house brick - before pictures are below for reference.
