Located in Warbler Woods, a mature residential suburb in London Ontario. The goals for this design were to address the slope/grading issue (7’ grade change), provide areas for lounging, privacy, gardens and special features - water and fire. Beyond the grading challenges, our clients had a differing in styles - blending traditional large timbers and modern sleek lines certainly added to the difficulty of this project. The brief was met and exceeded by creating oversized entry landings that slow the user down and give pause to enjoy the subtle water feature. The mid-section of this layout includes a private upper decking lounge and lower stone patio with a custom wood burning fire place. An added lower section provides the perfect spot for wood storage and a custom wood chopping block. Design visuals, finished and before pictures are below for reference.
